The Greater KW Chamber of Commerce series of programs aimed to bring together professionals in our community in a powerful new way. Introducing the Chamber Peer2Peer learning and networking groups made possible through the help of Sun Life Financial.

SunLife Financial Greater KW Chamber of Commerce Peer2Peer Groups Peer 2 Peer Groups Peer to Peer Groups Network Networking Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce OntarioEach Peer Learning group will bring together between 8 and 15 industry leaders from the community to share, collaborate and work together to collectively grow their businesses.

Chamber staff will facilitate the logistics of the groups, but the content for each group will be driven by the group members, led by one group champion. Click below to find out more details!

Business Development Group

This group of sales and business development professionals from across the Kitchener-Waterloo business community will meet monthly to discuss issues and challenges, share best practices and offer networking opportunities to connect with other leaders.

The format of the group will change regularly, directed by the members of the group. Guest speakers, panel events and round table discussions will all be offered, with the topics chosen by the members of the group. Sample topics will include new customer acquisition, making the most of limited resources, client retention, digital tools and strategies, customer relationship management and other topics as decided by the group.

CEO Group

There are two CEO peer2peer groups from across the Kitchener-Waterloo business community which meet monthly to discuss issues common across executives in the area, share best practices and offer networking opportunities to connect with other leaders.

The format of the group will change regularly, directed by the members of the group. Guest speakers, panel events and round table discussions will all be offered, with the topics chosen by the members of the group.

The Chamber is pleased to offer this exclusive learning and networking group for free to CEOs of member organizations every month.

Hospitality and Tourism Group

This group of Hospitality and Tourism professionals and business owners from across the Kitchener-Waterloo food, hotel and conference facility community will meet monthly to discuss common challenges, share best practices and offer networking opportunities to connect with other leaders.

The Chamber is pleased to offer this exclusive learning and networking group for free to member organizations on the first Wednesday of the month. The group will be open to employees and owners of restaurants, catering services, hotels and conference/event facilities thorough the Region

Sample topics will include industry challenges, marketing, managing growth, sourcing and others as directed by the group. A common theme will be understanding and embracing the growth happening in Kitchener-Waterloo now and over the coming years and how that will impact hotels, restaurants, caterers and conference facilities.

Marketing & Communications Group

This group of marketing and communications professionals from across the Kitchener-Waterloo business community will meet monthly to discuss issues common across marketers in the area, share best practices and offer networking opportunities to connect with other leaders.

The format of the group will change regularly, directed by the members of the group. Guest speakers, panel events and round table discussions will all be offered, with the topics chosen by the members of the group. Sample topics will include digital marketing, social media, email marketing, direct mail, partnerships and other areas as the group directs.

The Chamber is pleased to offer this exclusive learning and networking group for free to member organizations on the second Wednesday of every month. The group will be open to organizations across all industries and company sizes.

Not-For-Profit & Charities

The Not-For-Profit & Charities Peer2Peer group is an excellent way to collaborate and learn from fellow Chamber members who have or have had in the past the same challenges you face everyday. In a world where knowledge is an increasingly important factor in running an organization effectively on a shoestring budget, the Chamber Peer2Peer group for Not-For-Profit & Charities is a great way to continuously learn!

Guest speakers, panel events and round table discussions will all be offered, with the topics chosen by the members of the group. Next Generation Leadership Alumni

The Next Generation Leadership Alumni peer2peer group is an opportunity for those who have gone through the Next Generation Leadership series program to continue learning. The format of the meeting will change regularly depending on what is top of mind.

'More Clients' Group

Professionals selling knowledge and skills in today’s marketplace face unique business challenges regardless of their area of expertise. Discussion topics for this new Peer2Peer will include strengthening personal brand, mapping buyer personas, content strategy, advanced networking, social media, and internet marketing skills, and building recurring revenue.

Paramedical Professionals Group

This group is for those in your field who are looking to actively build their business. Based on the book and program by Michael Port, “Book yourself solid,” the Chamber will offer a facilitated Peer2Peer which will have a practical component. There will be a presentation and work sheet portion followed by a roundtable discussion of the month’s topic. There will also be an open discussion about the member’s issues and concerns from everything relating from personnel to policies.
