What we are looking for

The Marketing Assistant position is dedicated to assist in promoting the Chamber mission, brand, and activities to the world with a unified voice over multiple communications channels from social media to traditional mediums like newspapers and radio. The successful candidate will work with the Marketing & Communications Lead and the VP Strategic Initiatives to execute Chamber Marketing and Strategic Initiatives as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Chamber Marketing
  • Member Profile
  • E-news and targeted blasts
  • Webinars & Podcast’s
  • Event Videoing
  • ShopKW Marketing
  • Directory ad placement
  • Front Desk Administration one day per week
  • Customer Service Representative including outbound calls

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, or Business, or equivalent experience
  • Any experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Some social media marketing for a brand or organization
  • Experience in managing multiple channels of communication both digital and traditional
  • Following experience considered an asset:
    • WordPress / HTML & CSS
    • Google Analytics
    • CRS
    • Video recording and/or editing

Extras (Nice to Have)

  • Graphic design experience (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proficiency in using social media dashboard (i.e. Hootsuite, TweetDeck)
  • Experience using Constant Contact or MailChimp email marketing platforms
  • Understanding of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
  • Experience with the fundamentals of inbound marketing
  • Not afraid to try something new
