As the province approaches the next election on June 12th the Chamber is once again hosting a series Candidate Forums. These forums are an opportunity to ask questions important to the business community of the candidates in the three local ridings of Kitchener Centre, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Kitchener-Conestoga. The first of the 3 candidate forums will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 28th for the riding of Kitchener Centre.
The Candidate Forum will be taking place at Kitchener City Hall Rotunda between 4:00-6:00pm. We will be joined by Eric Drozd from 570 News to moderate the Forum among the 4 main candidates for the riding of Kitchener Centre:
• Wayne Wettlaufer – Ontario Progressive Conservative Party
• Daiene Vernile – Ontario Liberal Party
• Margaret Johnston – New Democratic Party of Ontario
• Ronnie Smith – Green Party of Ontario
The questions have been formed with feedback from Chamber members, Chamber committees, and Chamber volunteers.
If you cannot make the Forum we will be live streaming the entirety of the Forum and posting the recording online to ensure our members know where each of the parties stand on important issues to business.
