Speaker Information

want to speak at a chamber event?

The Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce (GKWCC) organizes over 90 events each year to educate, motivate, and inspire Chamber Members and local Business Professionals. We work to share success stories and inform members on the issues that matter most. As a result, the topics we cover and the format in which we cover them are constantly changing and evolving.

We are in a continuous search of business leaders, industry experts, and motivational speakers to contribute to our upcoming events, Peer to Peer Groups, and other speaking engagements. The GKWCC is committed to developing an inclusive community, and always strives to book speakers who reflect the unique and diverse makeup of Waterloo Region.

To broaden our speaker selection, we have introduced a new Speaker Portal. If you are interested in speaking at an upcoming Chamber Event (or represent someone who is), please complete the application form by following this link. Once you have completed the application you will be in our database and will be considered for future speaking opportunities. Due to the volume of applications, we regrettably cannot guarantee speaking engagements to every applicant.

If your information changes at any time, we ask that you submit a new application through the above link, or email your change(s) to events@greaterkwchamber.com.

Who we’re looking for

We look for energetic, diverse and innovative individuals who are considered experts amongst their peers.

Speakers should be comfortable in front of audiences up to 700 guests and should be able to tailor their content for a variety of formats. This includes: keynote presentations, panel discussions, fireside chats, and interactive workshops, hosted live and/or virtually.

The GKWCC is committed to selecting qualified and credible speakers who can provide great value and clear learning outcomes/takeaways for our guests. When selecting speakers, we often rely on testimonials or samples of the speakers’ previous work. In addition, we consult with our volunteer committees, and refer to attendee feedback to determine the direction of our speaker selections. Non-Chamber Members should be aware that we do make every effort to provide Members with priority access to speaking opportunities.
