Like all Canadians, the Chamber is disappointed and concerned with where we find Canada-US trade relations.
Your Chamber’s is consulting widely with our colleagues at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) on where we go from here. Many businesses are and will be affected by these tariffs on both sides of the border and our role is to get you the information you need to navigate the uncertainty.
The federal government announced some programs have been announced but the details are yet to come. While the program details are finalized, we want to assure our members, your employees and our community that we will be a trusted source for information. And we will be your voice to decision makers on how business is being impacted and how to best support business.
The Chamber’s role is to be a source of trust, information and support for our business community. We have and will continue to gather information through our network, partners and business community to ensure we have the best information available and can help members and employees understand how it will affect local business.
We know uncertainty creates questions of what comes next. We are here to support you through that uncertainty, whether you are a business owner navigating new challenges, an employee concerned about what this may mean for your workplace, or a community partner looking for ways to help.
We are working to create a way to keep our members, partners and community informed in real time, with updates and resources as frequently as needed. Our goal is to provide the information, perspective and connections you need to make informed decisions and navigate what lies ahead.
