On Thursday, September 18th the Inspiring Women’s Event welcomes Julie Cole! Many of us know Julie from the business venture which she co-founded, Mabel’s Labels. The company was created by four mom’s who were frustrated with their children losing their belonging. So these moms decided to do something about it! They created high quality labels which are personalized and waterproof.

The company has been around since 2003 and has received many rewards such as the 2007 SavvyMom, ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award; ‘Best Product’ from Baby Gizmo, iParenting and PTPA Media; the 2009 Royal Bank of Canada ‘Women Entrepreneur Award.’ Most recently, in 2012, the company ranked twenty seventh in the PROFIT/Chatelaine W100.

Mabel’s Labels is sold through their website worldwide and across North America through fundraisers at schools, daycares and other organizations, some of their products are event in Wal-mart and Target!

Headshots_Circles_JulieJulie Cole is the mother of six children, she is known across North America for her speaking engagements which include everything from business classes, CityLine, The Today Show, Better TV, the Mom Show and many more. She regularly contributes to CH Morning Live and HLN’s Raising America and blogs for The Huffington Post, the Yummy Mummy Club and of course- the Mabelhood blog!

We’re pleased that Julie is coming to the region for the Inspiring Women event.

The ‘Dress for Success Clothing Drive’ will also be taking place on September 18th at the event. Pay it forward by bringing your professional apparel to the event to support the Green Door and Focus for Ethnic Women. We’re looking for interview appropriate clothing. Your support would be most appreciated!
