Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce

There are two very special awards that are given at the Business Excellence Awards Gala that are selected by a diverse panel of community representatives.

The first award is the Volunteer of the Year Award. The Chamber is fortunate to have over 300 volunteers that help out with various committees or projects that we certainly wouldn’t be able to accomplish without all of you. There are some key people that donate their time to many areas at the Chamber. Time is not their only contribution, they’re great leaders who bring a positive attitude and creative ideas which have improved many Chamber events. The Volunteer of the Year Award will go to one of those key leaders.

Another special award that will be given out next week is the the Michael R. Follett Community Leader of the Year Award. This award is giving to a member of Waterloo Region who leads by example and contributes greatly to many wonderful projects here in the region.  Past winners have included Tim Jackson, Jim Erb, and Jacqui Murphy, and Gerry Remers

Stay tuned tonight on Twitter to find out who wins in real-time live from Bingemans!
