The Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce’s ability to effectively articulate the interests of our members is dependent on engaged and active volunteers. The Chamber currently has two policy committees that meet on a regular basis to analyze issues of concern to local employers and recommend appropriate responses.
The Federal & Provincial Affairs Committee (FPAC) reviews federal and Ontario legislation in portfolios such as taxation, workforce development, post-secondary education, pension reform, and health care.
The Regional & Municipal Affairs Committee (RMAC) monitors initiatives and developments within local municipalities and advises the Chamber Board of Directors on appropriate positions/responses. Committee members have often appeared with Chamber staff at committee and council meetings.
Please contact Art Sinclair, Vice President Public Policy & Advocacy at the Chamber, for more information about the Chambers’ Policy committees.
