In 2026, the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce turns 140. We’re marking this milestone the best way we know how: by mobilizing our business community to make a lasting impact.
Our goal is simple and ambitious — raise $140,000 (this year) to support local physician recruitment and help secure access to healthcare for our growing region. We’re a membership of 1,400+ businesses. If every member gave just $100, we’d meet our goal.
This is more than a celebration. It’s a legacy investment.
A strong healthcare system is foundational to a strong economy. When businesses can attract talent, families can settle, and employees can access care, our region thrives.
Currently, 1 in 5 people in our region do not have access to a family doctor, which puts extra pressure on our Hospitals and increases wait times. Our region is quickly on its way to 1 million residents, so the need continues to increase.
