Kitchener Indoor Recreation Complex

The Kitchener Indoor Recreation Complex (KIRC) will be the newest and largest indoor recreation facility, at 208,000 square foot facility, which is anticipated to open in summer of 2026. As the City’s premiere sports and recreation facility, KIRC will be a place where the community gathers, plays and competes. The City expects 530,000 annual visits to the facility in its first year of operation – and that number will grow in future years. Additionally, the City plans to hold 2 – 3 large scale provincial/national events a year at the facility and anticipate over 100,000 visits from out-of-town coaches, event officials and spectators over the course of each event.

To fulfil the City’s vision for fueling inspiration and nourishing connections with healthy, convenient food and beverage options in the facility, the City is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather input from vendors interested in providing concession services through a dedicated space at this facility.
