Congratulations to locally-based software company Beagle Inc. on becoming the first Canadian startup to join the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator program as part of the program’s second cohort of businesses. Beagle is joined in the cohort with 13 other top-level startups out of over 600 companies from across North America who applied to be part of the prestigious program.
For the next four months the Beagle team will benefit from a temporary relocation to Seattle, Washington in order to take in all the valuable insight the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator has to offer to the young company.
Beagle has created an artificial intelligence software platform that extracts important details in a contract and then presents those details quickly to the user to increase productivity for all parties involved by streamlining the contracting process. The platform is not designed to replace trained lawyers, but will compliment them by helping lower the risk in developing contracts.
It’s a tremendous accomplishment for any business to be selected for such an exclusive program. I would like to personally congratulate Beagle’s founder, Cian O’Sullivan, and the entire Beagle team for helping continue Waterloo Region’s reputation as a world class hub for innovation.
