Inspiring Women Event
The Inspiring Women Event (IWE) is an event designed to motivate, inspire, connect and celebrate professional women and entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 2006, over 4,500 women have participated in this unique day of learning, sharing experiences and information, acquiring new contacts, networking with peers, and education through professional development break-out session. Starting in 2024-25, IWE was revamped to an exclusive morning event that features a fireside chat from a well-known keynote speaker that helps share inspirational guidance and teachings based on their impactful career journey. The Inspiring Women Event also includes a delicious breakfast and exhibitors led by women-owned businesses across Waterloo Region.
International Women's Day
The International Women’s Day Breakfast is a yearly event held in partnership between the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce and respected community leader Karen Redman. The event brings together business and community leaders to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women across all sectors. Held every March in recognition of International Women’s Day, the breakfast features keynote speakers, panel discussions, and thought-provoking conversations that highlight the progress, challenges, and opportunities surrounding gender equity.
