The Employee Engagement Award celebrates organizations in Waterloo Region who have gone above and beyond creating a safe, inclusive and positive work environment. These organizations provide a workplace that prioritizes forward thinking, reduces barriers, provides opportunity for growth through training, and emphasizes diversity.

Traces Screen Printing Ltd. was the 2020 recipient of the Employee Engagement Award for their work with Lutherwood Job Connection and regular contributions to YMCA Employment Services in support of Immigrants & Refugees. They are also a living wage employer and each year they review and refresh their company policies.

The Employee Engagement Award is presented to a business or organization that has:

• Been in operation for a minimum of two consecutive years
• Provided training to improve the skills, knowledge, safety and/or performance of their workforce
• Reduced employment barriers and/or assists employees who are recent immigrants and/or employees with physical, communication or developmental challenges
• Increase productivity through innovative and creative programs or initiatives for their employees
