Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce

The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), in partnership with the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a truly unique event on Friday, June 13th. A diverse panel of experts come together to discuss the importance of architecture, how it can help individual businesses increase productivity and the bottom line, and how it acts as a major economic driver inside communities. Waterloo Region, in particular the Kitchener Downtown Core, has greatly benefited from the shifting design and repurposing of our urban landscape through the imagination of talented architects.

The speakers at Architecture + Commerce range from local businesses, architectural firms, the University of Waterloo, and the OAA. This is a rare opportunity to hear from:

  • Andrea Janus, Facilities Manager, Google Canada
  • Stephen Lefneski, Partner, WalterFedy
  • Rick Haldenby, Professor, University of Waterloo School of Architecture
  • Bill Birdsell, Principal, J. William Birdsell, Architect & President, OAA

This luncheon event will be interesting, insightful and helpful for all those who come out. Our community is shaped by the people who live and work here and by how we interact with our built environment in how we work and play. Every day our environment is moving and evolving. Now is the time to find out how the evolution of our urban landscape is changing our lives and acting as a major economic driver for our Region.
