Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce

This week is National Volunteer Week and on behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors and staff, I’d like to say thank you to all of our 400 dedicated Chamber volunteers that help us week in and week out. Our volunteers and volunteer committees have been integral to building the Chamber over the past 128 years and continue to play a critical role in the Chamber’s success on many levels including our Healthcare Resource Council volunteers which have helped us bring over 160 new doctors to the Region and our event committees that help support our ongoing event series such as Business After 5, Networking Breakfast, or Chamber Young Professionals.

Volunteerism has been at the heart of the Waterloo Region community since our inception. It is one of the major reasons we are known for our strong sense of community, something we at the Chamber heard day in and day out. A strong community means a strong business community and our many volunteers are at the heart of what happens in the Region.

If you are interested in being a volunteer here at the Chamber I encourage you to visit our volunteer committee application page on our website. Or if you are interested in helping other Non-Profit or Charitable organizations by volunteering your time, expertise, or enthusiasm, please connect with the Volunteer Action Centre to see which organizations in the community are in need of your help.

Thank you again to each of our Chamber volunteers, but also to all volunteers in our community. Your time and support within Waterloo Region are always needed and appreciated because without you we would not be the community we are today.
