Already completed is the statue of Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald installed on the Laurier campus this week Additional commissions for new PM statues are ready to be made in the coming months and aim to be completed by Canada Day 2017.

Civic projects like this can only succeed with the help of our generous corporate community. WLU is proud to celebrate Canada’s PMs along with dedicated effort from community leaders like Dave Caputo and John Baker from D2L.

This is another example of Chamber members living out our motto of “Business Building Community”. As we celebrate Canada Day, this initiative will celebrate our Canadian history and be one more way that  Waterloo is recognized across the country.

Thanks to Dave and his committee for this important community and nation building  project.
